Why add weight inside the grip?

Adding mass inside the grip is designed to bring the balance lower and rearward, where the support hand already works to control the pistol.

The goal is a more neutral, settled feel as the pistol moves through recoil and returns to the target. The result will still depend on ammunition, grip, and the rest of the setup, but the insert changes weight distribution without adding external bulk.
